Founding his own practice in 1999, Clayton is an impressive trial advocate who has successfully tried and won multiple large dollar verdicts. Appearing on lists such as "America's Premier Lawyers", and in publications such as Forbes and Newsweek. His success comes as a result of his tireless devotion to his clients' causes.

Clay has significant appellate and motion practice experience against large companies and is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He attended college at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. After receiving a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona in 1991, he attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. He was a semi-finalist in the 1993-1994 Louisiana State University Flory Trial Competition and went on to receive his Juris Doctor in 1994.
