Michael established the McMullen Law Firm in 1998. For over twenty years he has represented throughout South Carolina hundreds of clients facing criminal charges. He also has handled pre-arrest consultation, bond hearings, preliminary hearings, plea negotiations, trials, appeals, post-conviction relief, probation revocation hearings, parole matters, Pardons, and expungements.

He practices criminal law in all courts in South Carolina, representing juvenile clients in Family Court, and adult clients in Municipal and Magistrate Court, General Sessions Court, and at Administrative Hearings, such as those before the Labor, Licensing, and Regulation Commission–to help people whose licenses might be in jeopardy or before the Administrative Law Court.
