Kirk is a cum laude graduate of the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law, where he was also a member of the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society. He is a Proctor in Admiralty, and his practice is devoted almost exclusively to representation of crew members in maritime personal injury matters, longshoremen, and civilian contractors injured overseas covered by the Defense Base Act. He specializes in Admiralty and Maritime Law.
