Lisa A. Bertini practices at the boutique employment firm of Bertini Law, P.C., in Virginia Beach, and specializes in employment discrimination work. She earned her J.D. from William & Mary Law School and her B.A. from Georgetown. During the first half of her career she represented only employers and companies in employment litigation. Once she opened her own firm she began to specialize in representing employees.
Ms. Bertini’s practice is substantially dedicated to seeking to remedy workplace discrimination and to ensure that employees are treated in a non-discriminatory manner in the workplace, without regard to race, gender, disability, religion, national origin, or sexual orientation. She regularly tries cases in the federal court in Norfolk. She has served as Bar Council for the Virginia Bar and is active in Virginia Employment Lawyers Association, National Employment Lawyers Association and the Virginia Bar Association Employment and Labor Section Council. Ms. Bertini is the author of the chapter, Key Considerations for Plaintiff’s Attorneys in Employment Discrimination/Harassment Litigation in the book Inside the Minds: Representing Employees in Discrimination Cases (Thomas Reuters, 2012)
